Nigerian rapper Sauce Kid released from prison after 2 years (Video)

Nigerian rapper, Babalola Falemi, popularly known as Sauce Kid and Sinzu has been released from prison after serving his 2-years jail sentence in the United States for stealing $15,388 for credit card fraud.

The US Based Nigerian rapper was accused of using stolen bank card numbers to manufacture plastic cards which he then used for purchases after using an automated system to change account PIN between July 23 and 26 in 2016 in court documents.

 

The rapper was initially charged with conspiracy to commit bank fraud, eight counts each of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft, and possession of 15 or more fraudulent bank cards.

But he pleaded guilty to one of the counts of aggravated identity theft and the prosecutors dismissed the other charges exchange for the guilty plea.

A video of the rapper looking very healthy has emerged online.

Nigerian singer, Teniola Apata, better known as Teni, has revealed that her heart is bleeding regarding the ongoing #EndSARS protest. The ‘Uyo Meyo’ crooner took to her Twitter page to write:

“I’m hurt! My heart is bleeding. These people don’t give a fuck about us. Wow #EndSARS”

The Afro pop star also took out time to write a tribute to Anthony Onome. She thanked him for putting everything on the line for his country.

#EndSARS: ‘No More Suffering And Smiling’ – Lil Kesh

Nigerian rapper, Keshinro Ololade alias Lil Kesh, has in a bid to lend his voice to the ongoing #EndSARS movement stated Nigerians, particularly the youths, are no more interested in suffering and smiling.

The term ‘suffering and smiling’ was popularized by the late Afro beat pioneer, Fela Kuti. The original song is titled ‘Shuffering and Shmiling’. It was released in 1978.

Taking to Twitter, Lil Kesh writes:

“No more suffering and smiling, we woke now! #endsars #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeriaNOW”

The rapper who just returned to the music scene after a brief hiatus also wrote that the schemes of detractors regarding the ongoing movement will not be accomplished.

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke alias Davido, has shared how he was able to feature American rapper, Nicki Minaj, on his upcoming album, ‘A Better Time’.

The 27-year-old American born Nigerian Afro-pop/Afro-beats artist in a recent video courtesy Vype ‘Routes Of Inspiration’ said that he has never met the American female rap star. He revealed that all he had to do was send her a message along with the track via Instagram. He said she recorded her verse and sent it back to him in two days.
