Late Dancehall Singer, Ebony Reigns Laid In State With Her Spectacles Ahead Of Her Burial (Photos/Video)

Late Ghanaian sensational dancehall songstress, Ebony Reigns, will be buried today at the forecourt of the State House following a well-attended tribute concert held last night at the Ghana International Trade Fair Center in her honour.

According to GhanaWeb, Ebony, despite her short stint on earth managed to leave her footprints in the sands of time with hit songs that continue to play louder than ever even as she was no more, leaving Ghanaians dancing to her hit songs.

Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, known in showbiz as Ebony, was born on February 16, 1997, is a Ghanaian dancehall/Afrobeats artist widely known for her hit songs “Poison” and “Kupe”, she was discovered by Bullet, a member of Ruff n Smooth fame.

Ebony came out with her first single, “Dancefloor”, in December 2015 with a video and audio release. The song became a hit on radio landing her nomination for the unsung category at the 2016 Ghana Music Awards.


In March 2016 Ebony released her major hit single “Kupe”, which is a household anthem in Ghana and some other African countries.

She met her tragic death in an accident on the Sunyani-Kumasi road with two others after paying a visit to her mother who had returned from the United Kingdom.

It is no news that Nigerian actresses, Doris Ogala and Uche Elendu have been at loggerheads for a while.

Information Nigeria recalls Ogala recently accused Elendu of allegedly lying that her store was looted and ransacked by hoodlums, who hijacked the peaceful #ENDSARS Protest organised by Nigerian youth.

The actress threatened to expose her colleague as she urged the latter to come out with the truth and stop deceiving people during this trying time.

Taking to Instagram, the film star explained that she has never hidden hatred for Elendu and she won’t allow anyone to take advantage of the current situation of the country.

Popular reality TV star, Mike Edwards has taken to Instagram to recount how his older brother passed away at the age of 10 due to the poor healthcare system in Nigeria.

The reality TV star, who has continued to lend his support to the #EndSARS movement, posted a throwback photo of himself and his siblings.

Edwards wrote;

“My older brother Matthew lost his life during a sickle cell crisis in Nigeria when he was 10 years old, to think if he would have been in a country with better healthcare support that his life would be saved today is heartbreaking. The fight to End SARS is our cry for help after years of corruption and bad governance.”

Njoku took to her Twitter account on Saturday to urge people to remain patient with celebrities.

According to the film star, celebrities are not super humans and stardom doesn’t exempt them from being stupid.

In her words;

“Pls bear with us. Celebrities are not super humans. Stardom cannot erase a natural stupidity. Lower your expectations and bear with us in these trying times.”
