Labzy Lawal features Tjan in new track, ‘Mix It’

BUDDING Nigerian rapper, Opeyemi Lawal, better known as Labzy Lawal, is out with a spanking new track titled ‘Mix It’. According to the artiste, the track features ‘Omo Yi’ crooner, Tjan.

Signed to Righteous Works Record, Labzy kicked off his musical journey in 2006 and got his first headway with a trending song, ‘Zombie’ remix by Fela Kuti in 2009. The song was later banned from airplay due to rights issues.

Not relenting, Labzy, a graduate of Botany from the University of Lagos, resurfaced in 2011 with ‘Let Me In’ and ‘Takeaway’ ft Orezi which trended. He afterwards released his EP titled ‘Solidarity’ in 2012.

Shortly after this, Labzy went on a hiatus due to the fact that he had to focus on his studies which he rounded up in 2014 while her served his country in 2015.

He later released another EP in 2016 but had some promotional challenges with it which also had adverse effects on the sophomore singles he dropped after the EP in 2017.

However, the artiste says that with a better and more strategic team, he is back on the scene with the new single which is currently receiving massive air play on top radio stations across the country.

To his credit, he has also signed a management deal with Kbee promo world led by Fowosere Idris Adekunbi.
