7 persons killed , scores of houses burned in Nasarawa

Unidentified gunmen believed to be militia invaded Kadarko on Tuesday , in Kiza development area of Nasarawa State and killed no fewer than six people, including an old woman.

It was gathered that mass exodus of the Internally Displaced Persons comprising the aged and women with their children moving personal belongings to wherever they could get a shelter.

It was  also observed that pregnant women were not left out, as most of them who could not travel with their large family
rushed to IDP camp in Kadarko for refugee.

However, at Sarkin Noma area of Kadarko, our correspondent observed that the entire Tiv community deserted their home for the fear of being attacked by yet-to-be-identified militia gunmen.

It was gathered that most of the Tiv houses were completely burned down by suspected militia gunmen in the area.

Speaking to newsmen, in an interview, one of the survivors, Mr. Raymond Emberga, who appealed to the governor for total deployment of the military personnel in the area.
