Home-based Super Eagles midfielder Dayo Ojo was named man of the match following his superb display in the Nigeria’s 3-1 win against Equatorial Guinea on Monday, CompleteSports Nigeria reports.
The Home Eagles came back from a goal down to beat the Nzalang Nacional at the Grande Stade Agadir and booked passage into the quater-finals.
Ojo who was handed his first start of the competition by handler of the team, Salisu Yusuf scored Nigeria’s second goal of the game, a cracking shot from outside the area.

He came on as a substitute in Nigeria’s second Group C game against Libya last week.
The Sunshine Stars midfielder was unarguably Nigeria’s best player in the game, and he was rewarded for his battling midfield display by the organisers.
Ojo is second Nigeria player to have won the honour in the competition after tall centre- back, Stephen Eze, was adjudged man of the match in the team’s previous game against Libya.
