Ondo State APC hails Bola Tinubu

The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has said the visit of the National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, to the leadership of the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation, Afenifere last week will further solidify Yoruba unity.

Tinubu on Wednesday visited the leadership of the Afenifere at the residence of its leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, in Akure, the Ondo State capital, after which he declared that there would be no automatic ticket for President Muhammadu Buhari for the 2019 Presidential Election.

In a statement issued by the Director of Media and Publicity of the APC in the state, Mr. Steve Otaloro, on Sunday, the action of the national leaders was commendable.

The statement noted that the visit would further solidify the unity among the Yoruba leaders. It however dispelled the report that the visit had divided the APC in the state, saying it had no negative effect on the party.

The statement read, “The visit would catalyse all efforts of the APC governments in the South-West to improve on developmental projects for the betterment of the people as it would give all members of the party assurance that the unity of the party is not negotiable.”
