Miss India, Manushi Chhillar emerged winner of Miss World 2017 pageant – Manushi who is a medical student beat thirty-nine other finalists to the crown – Miss Mexico emerged first runner-up and Miss England, second runner-up A medical student, Manushi Chhillar has emerged winner of the Miss World 2017 pageant. This year’s version was held in China with over 108 beauties from around the world competing for a place and 39 finalists fighting for the crown.
Chhillar had always dreamed of becoming a beauty queen but never thought she would make it that far. Speaking after being crowned, she said: ”As a kid, I always wanted to participate in the competition but I never knew I would make it this far. Winning the Miss World title is now not just my dream, but also that of my family and friends. I know it’s going to be a journey that I will never forget. Whatever the result, I am going to learn, enjoy and give it my best. The rest, I leave to destiny.”
