Next Titan records first eviction

For the 16 contestants of the Next Titan Season Four, dreams have gradually begun to fade for reality. The entrepreneurial show has recorded its first eviction, in the name of Temitayo Ogunbiyi.

This followed the assessment by the competition’s judges, when they reviewed the activities of the housemates in the boardroom that was opened only a few days ago.

The judges are seasoned businessmen, Kyari Bukar, Tonye Cole, Lilian Olubi and Chris Parkes

For Ogunbiyi, therefore, the dream to win the N5m cash prize and a brand new Ford car has been, at best, deferred.

The boardroom and eviction stage followed an official premiere held at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, recently.

At the event that featured words of inspiration by various industry leaders, including Prof. Pat Utomi, music and an exhibition of the talents and aspirations of the contestants, the organisers and sponsors stressed the importance of the show, especially in terms of the entrepreneurial development of the housemates and the country at large.

While Utomi urged the youth and Nigeria to cultivate an investment culture and develop the tenacity and discipline to nurture such, the MD/CEO of Heritage Bank Plc, Mr. Ifie Sekibo, urged the 16 finalists to see themselves as winners aiming to provide solution to the menace of youth unemployment in Nigeria .

He was represented at the event by the Executive Director, Jude Monye.

He said, “At Heritage Bank, we are passionate about entrepreneurship. This is extremely relevant today, given the unemployment challenges that we face in Nigeria and Africa at large. Nothing is more fulfilling than to groom young entrepreneurs and mentor them to grow and become large corporates enlisted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange. We are dedicated to developing the next generation of outstanding young African entrepreneurs, who will shape the continent’s economies and the world at large.”

The Executive Producer of the Next Titan, Mr. Mide Kunle-Akinlaja, commended Heritage Bank and other sponsors for believing in it.

He noted that the project had been bringing out the best in participants. He cited the examples of past winners who had been doing well in their businesses, which had been expanded and had become profitable not only because of the financial reward they got, but also because of the experience they gained from the Titan’s boardroom.
