Comedian Sean Hughes who starred in ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ dies from liver cirrhosis at 51

Irish stand-up comedian and BBC quiz show panelist Sean Hughes has died at the age of 51, his management company has said.

Hughes who was best known for his appearances on ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’, where he was a team captain between 1996 and 2002, and his own sitcom Sean’s Show died of liver cirrhosis at the north London’s Whittington Hospital today.

Last week, the comedian told his 50,000 Twitter followers he was ‘in hospital’ in what was his final social media post last week.

The English-born comedian who wasn’t married and had no child of his own also made several appearances as an actor later on in his career, including playing comedian and writer Tony Hawk in his adaption of Round Ireland with a Fridge and ITV’s The Last Detective as well as a minor role in the cult 1991 movie The Commitments.

Most of his industry colleagues have all taken to their social media pages to mourn him.

Reekado Banks Trashes His Song With Wizkid After He Called Him A Fool

Nigerians have reacted to Wizkid’s exclusion from Reekado Banks‘ newly released EP, ‘Off The Record’. Banks, whose real name is Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon, had taken to Twitter on Thursday to share the track list.

He wrote as caption:

“This has been a very very different type of year. Thankful that I am still here and able to put out music. ‘OFF THE RECORD’ EP, OUT MIDNIGHT! Big love to @attifaya, @TiwaSavage, @mreazi, @KidaKingin, @eocrossover & @harmonize_tz for blessing this with their voices & pen.”

Reacting to his tweet, Nigerians trooped under the post to point out Wizkid’s omission. While some applauded Reekado for omitting Wizkid due to the latter’s harsh remarks during the #EndSARS protests, others chided him for being too petty.

Popular Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel has taken to his Instagram page to educate his fans on the reasons marriages and relationships do not thrive.

The actor, who has been married for 15 years, mentioned that people do not know how to build a solid relationship because they only think about ‘sex’.

Taking to the photo-sharing app, the actor shared a photo of himself and he shared his thoughts.

In his words;

interviewer: So Majid why do you think relationships and even marriages don’t last?

Majid: well, if you are going out on a first date and all you are thinking about is sex, therein lies the problem. People don’t know how to have a relationship outside of just a sexual relationship. they don’t know how to talk to a person, they don’t know how to be friends. and this is the reason a lot of relationships and marriages are breaking down. #LEADERSHiP
