Serial Rapist Defiles 5 Year Old Girl, Tries To Bribe PoliceA suspected serial rapist identified as Emeka, has been arrested by the policemen attached to Ilasa Division in Lagos after allegedly defiling a five-year-old girl in Ilasamaja area of Lagos.

Reports gathered revealed that the victim was the Sixth girl to be raped by the suspect.

Emeka usually lure girls between the ages of five and six with biscuits and sweets into bathroom and toilets, where he rapes them.

He met his Waterloo weekend, after a tenant caught him in the act with the five-year-old and raised the alarm.

A resident identified as Tolani Bakare told Vanguard that;

“ Emeka gave the girl biscuit, took her into the toilet and raped her.

“The girl was heard crying. Her elder sister, who was looking for her, heard her voice and started calling her name. At that point, Emeka rushed out of the toilet and bolted. The victim told her sister that Emeka had been doing it to her for some time. “That was not the first time he has done such an act. He has done it to five other children between ages five and six, but he would end up begging their parents to forgive him.”

The mother of the victim reported the incident to policemen at Ilasamaja Division, the policemen arrested Emeka by 10pm from his hideout in the area.

It was learnt that Emeka’s family members tried to bribe the Police but were rebuffed by the Divisional Police Officer, Superintend Oriyomi Oluwasanmi.

It was also revealed that the victim’s hymen had been broken and that there was penetration.

Former lawmaker, Senator Shehu Sani has expressed that the #EndSARS protesters demanding widespread police reform and good governance across the country are not chaos makers.

This is coming at a time when there have been reports of the government planning to deploy troops of the Nigerian military to control the situation which has heightened the tension in the country.

Reacting to the reports, the former lawmaker from Kaduna stated that the protesters are not mischief-makers as being reported in some quarters but rather people who want the chaos in the country to end.

The military officers were stationed at the popular Aya roundabout early Monday morning, with a roadblock and barricade.

The protesters gathered at the Kuje road and the Airport road to press home their demands.

The demand for widespread police reforms by #EndSARS protesters enters its 12th day and it doesn’t seem as if the protesting youths are backing out soon.

On Monday morning, the protesters stormed the Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa and prevented workers from gaining access to the premises.

They blocked all the entrance to the Secretariat and motorists and pedestrians were turned back from coming out and going into the premises.

The Governor’s road had remained one of the major venues where the protesters gather every day with some even sleeping overnight to continue the protest the next day.
