Fast-rising comedian, Kenny Blaq is currently causing a storm in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Ever since he came on the scene, the young man has been telling everyone who cares to listen that he means business.
The perfect opportunity to prove his mettle actually came up on Sunday, July 23, when he staged his debut show, Oxymoron of Kenny Blaq at Eko Hotel, Lagos. The event was well attended by industry big wigs and the hall was practically sold out.
Obviously well planned and executed, the event would remain in the memory of the guests for a long time to come even though most of the comedians that performed at the event cannot be described as A-list.
Comedians that graced the stage include Josh 2 Funny, D1, Arole, Alfa Sule, among others. Though they are yet to get to the top of the game, the comedians, all of whom came to limelight by the help of social media, did very good jobs, and no one even noticed that the more established comedians weren’t on stage. Guests were treated to rib-cracking jokes all night, with musical interludes by artistes such as 9ice, Korede Bello, Sound Sultan, Jaywon, and others.
Other guests in attendance included Dame Abimbola Fashola, Ben Murray Bruce, Ali Baba, Julius Agwu, among many others.
