Ahmed Saleh appointed secrerary of the National Judicial Council.

The immediate-past Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court, Ahmed Saleh, has assumed new duties as the Secretary of the National Judicial Council.

A statement by the NJC’s Director of Information, Mr. Soji Oye, said Saleh took over from the former secretary of the council, Mr. Danladi Halilu, on July 1, 2017.

Halilu, who was appointed the Secretary of the NJC on July 1, 2002, was said to have retired on June 30, 2017.

The statement read in part, “History was made on Friday, 30th June, 2017, when the former Secretary of the National Judicial Council, Danladi Halilu, who officially retired from active service, passed the baton over to Ahmed Gambo Saleh, as the incumbent Secretary of the National Judicial Council.”
