Man begs court to dissolve his three year-old marriage ( His reasons will leave you speechless)

An Idi-Ogungun Customary Court in Agodi, Ibadan, Oyo State, was approached by one Ajumoti Ajibola, on Friday, seeking the dissolution of his three-year marriage with his wife, Bolaji, over her alleged inability to cook a decent meal.

He said the divorce would enable him to marry a woman who can cook good meals for him.

Testifying before the court, Ajibola described the defendant as a wife who hardly obeys instructions and does not know how to do domestic chores.

“She is not respectful; and her mother, who is in the position to correct her mistakes, always supports her whenever I report my wife to her.

“Also, she cannot prepare a decent meal and I can no longer eat tasteless meals.

“So, the court should end our union of three years, to enable me to marry a woman that can cook good food for me,’’ he pleaded.

The defendant, however, informed the court that she and her husband underwent court marriage, hence the customary court has no jurisdiction to entertain the case.

“Though I agreed with the dissolution of the marriage, we did court marriage at Ibadan North Local Government Registry when we married,’’ Bolaji said.

The President of the Court, Mukaila Balogun, struck out the case, saying that evidence of both parties proved that they did court marriage.

Balogun advised the couple to proceed to high court for the dissolution of their marriage.
