Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, has rewarded several schools and individuals in Lagos who won in the just concluded Indomie ‘You Like No Other’ (YLNO) promotion. The Indomie YLNO promo, designed to appreciate uniqueness and hard-work saw millions of consumers and schools send Indomie wrapper entries in a bid to win prizes.

The grand prize, a brand new deluxe school bus, was eventually won by Our Lady of Mount Camel Nursery and Primary School with many other schools and individuals winning other prizes such as: premium power generating sets; music instruments; photocopying machines; public address systems and Indomie Bukas.

The prize presentation took place on March 27, 2017, in Lagos with winning consumers and representatives of winning schools in attendance. A total of 11 Bukas, seven power generating sets, two musical equipment, six photocopying machines, six sports kits and one public address system were presented by Indomie to the excited consumers and school representatives.

Our Lady of Mount Camel School was declared the grand prize winner after sending the highest entry of 1,550 cut Indomie Noodles ‘You Like No Other’ caricatures. The closest to Mount Camel School was Saint Joseph School with 595 ‘You Like No Other’ caricature cut-outs.

Speaking at the presentation event, General Manager, Indomie, Mr Girish Sharma said “This prize presentation is to officially close the Indomie YLNO promotion by handing over the school bus and gifts to the winners who participated.’’

“Over 330,000 consumers have been rewarded in the YLNO promo and Indomie is keen on fulfilling every promise made to consumers. We thank our consumers for having faith in the brand and also for their participation,” he added.

Also speaking at the prize presentation, Group Public Relations and Events Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju said: “Indomie ‘You Like No Other’ promo was used to celebrate the uniqueness in consumers of all walks of life. If you are a photographer and musician such as TY Bello; a model like Olajimoke; a rapper such as MI Abaga; a screen queen like Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde or music icon like Yemi Alade, you are unique.”

“How unique you become is a function of your exclusivity and effort. Unique taste cannot be replicated easily which is why Indomie remains the market standard for noodles. The YLNO promo was distinct from any other promo and this made the acceptance by consumers easy. Consumers appreciated the special packs which bore a perfect caricature picture of top celebrities and highlighted their uniqueness.” Ashiwaju said.

Representatives of Schools and individual winners at the event expressed joy and delight towards the brand for fulfilling the promise made. They explained the surmountable task they had to face to become winners of the promo, while also thanking the brand for the gifts received.

It would be recalled that the “You Like No Other” promo which kicked-off last year October, saw different prizes worth over N600 million being won amongst which 500 consumers walked home with cash prize of N100,000 each.

Participants were required to cut out the YLNO characters on the Indomie special pack and present a collected number of 20 different characters to win an instant Indomie carton. Those who collected up to 50 different unique characters were amongst 500 lucky consumers that received one hundred thousand Naira (100,000 Naira).
