The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress has described a former commissioner and chief of staff in the state, Chief Glory Emeh, as a mole in the party before returning to the Peoples Democratic Party.
But Emeh said contrary to the position of the APC, he was “sufficiently” lobbied by members to join the APC.
He noted that he decided to defect to the PDP because he was the “only cock that could crow” in the party.
The state Chairman of the APC, Chief Davies Ikanya, said in Port Harcourt on Wednesday that most members of the opposition party in the state were aware that Emeh came into the APC as a mole.
Reacting, Emeh said a huge number of the APC members had since moved with him to the PDP and wondered why the opposition party in the state would say that he left with no one.
“How could the state APC tag me a mole when I was sufficiently lobbied to come and join the APC? I have worked for the APC in the state. My house was used for over seven months. A mole will not go as far as I went with the APC,” he added.
