Yaya Toure’s Brace Inspires City To Victory Over Crystal Palace

Yaya Toure made a dream return to the Manchester City first team as he bagged a brace to give Manchester City a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace. City traveled to Selhurst park knowing a win was a must to close the gap on league leaders, Liverpool.

They were helped by Arsenal’s draw with Manchester United in today’s early kickoff and Liverpool also drew against Southampton to help their cause.

City was very far from fluent on Saturday as Yaya Toure, Vincent Kompany, and Bacary Sagna were back in the starting line-up. David Silva and Gundogan were on the bench as Kevin De Bruyne, Nolito and Sergio Aguero spearheaded City’s attack.

Yaya Toure opened the scoring just as the first half was drawing to a close as a brilliant one-two with Nolito inside the box saw Toure’s deflected shot fall into the net.

In the second half, Connor Wickham leveled matters before Toure scored again to give City the lead again. They were many tense moments as the match drew to a close but in the end, it was City who took all the three points.
