Troops Kill 2 Terrorists Attempting To Infiltrate Borno

Troops of the Nigerian Army of the 8 Task Force Division yesterday, intercepted a group of Boko Haram terrorists who were reportedly on a mission to loot logistics supplies from Brimari town and other surrounding communities in Borno State.

This was revealed in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the military, Colonel Sani Usman, as he added that the soldiers were on a fighting patrol along Monguno-Brimari Road when they encountered the Islamist insurgents.

According to Colonel Usman, the troops were engaged in a gun duel by the insurgents that lasted for about 15 mins before they overpowered the Boko Haram terrorists.

He added that two of the insurgents were killed, and that troops seized the insurgents’ weapons including one FN rifle, one AK-47 rifle with three magazines.

The troops also recovered two motorcycles, drugs, wrappers and clothes from the insurgents.
