Manchester United midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger is meeting with an MLS club ahead of a possible move to America in January.
The 32-year-old German midfielder joined the Red Devils under Van Gaal but fell out of favor with new head coach, Jose Mourinho. He was dropped from the first team and made to train with the reserves and is yet to make the team this season.
He has now been given permission to speak with Chicago Fire and met with the team’s head coach, Veljko Paunovic over the weekend.
Although he joined the Manchester United first team training two weeks ago, it is a foregone conclusion that his time at the club is up.
