The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said it has concluded plans to confiscate all properties belonging to ex-first lady, Patience Jonathan.

According to reports, the commission discreetly begun investigations into Mrs Jonathan’s finances, mandating its operatives to identify all properties belonging to her after she claimed ownership of the sum of $31.4m found in five Skye Bank accounts.

It would be recalled that the anti-graft agency during investigations froze the former first lady’s Skye Bank personal account containing a balance of $5m.

“It would not be correct to conclude that the commission has halted the investigation into the activities of the former First Lady,” an EFCC source said.

“The investigation is progressing and it is being handled by the office of the chairman of the commission.

“A team of operatives have been assembled to identify all her properties in the country with a focus on Abuja, Port Harcourt and Yenagoa.

“The responsibility of the team is to mark all such properties in preparation for a possible court action,” the source added.
