NPDC Workers Threatens To Down Tools Over Salary Arrears

Staffs of the Niger Petroleum Development Company, NDPC, working at its flow and compressor stations in OML 30, Delta state, have threatened to shut down operations over alleged non-payment of salary from January till date.

According to the statement released to the press by the Chairman, OPS Field Operators, Mr. Meshach Ugeh, where he said the workers have endured various forms of treatment from the management of the company.

“Since early this year, till date, NPDC has been maltreating the workers of OML 30.

“The workers have written so many letters to NPDC over their non confirmations and non- payment of salaries through Engineer Yousuf Mates, the Asset Manager, Mr. Abubakar Mai Mai – Bornu, Mr. Anthony U Muoneke ,Executive Directors- Asset Management, NPDC OML30 and others, to no avail.

“We call on Nigeria Petroleum Development Company (NPDC) to pay their salaries and others allowance due for field operators of OML 30, workers’ welfare through their individual account directly, instead of contractors without delay or face dire consequence, “the chairman said in the staement.
