Blackberry to stop building phones

According to the company’s CEO John Chen in their latest financial report, “the company plans to end all internal  hardware development and will outsource that function to partners, this decision is said to be because of the 31.8 percent fall in revenue in the second quarter of the financial year.

The Canadian company which has been struggling for its former relevance of holding 40 percent of the global smartphone market since it changed its name from research in motion(rim) to blackberry and in fact, its most recent phone the  DTek50 was built by alcatel.

the apple ios and android slowly took obver the market from rim\blackberry and the company has reacted to the take over with the Z10 before switching to a modified Andriod version in 2015
