Turkish Authorities Blame ISIL For Bomb Blast At Wedding

A deadly explosion at a wedding ceremony in Turkey left at least 50 people dead. The explosion ripped a Kurdish wedding apart on Saturday in the Turkish city of Gaziantep.

Most of the casualties in the wedding are thought to be children between the ages of 12-14. There have been several bombings in Turkey this year, with terror groups increasingly hitting soft targets.

Turkish authorities have blamed ISIL for Saturday’s bombing even though there has been no immediate claim of responsibility by the group.

“The initial findings of the governor and our police forces indicate the attack has been perpetrated by Daesh,” said President Recep Erdogan

“As you know, Daesh is trying to position and organize itself in Gaziantep. Security operations have been conducted and are still being conducted against the terrorist organization.”
