What a summer transfer window it has been for Manchester City!

For the Citizens, the first real coup was in convincing former Bayern Munich coach, Pep Guardiola to join the club and since then, it has been quite a dream.

Guardiola has kept himself busy in the transfer window, signing eight players among whom are 20-year-old Leroy Sane, Nolito, Ilkay Gundogan as well as Gabriel Jesus among others.

Manchester aren’t done just yet as they have finalized the signing of Center back, John Stones from Everton for a whooping £47.5m.

City have been in  hot pursuit of Stones since last season but an unwillingness to match Everton’s £50m valuation of the player ensured that the deal did not happen. The 22-year old has signed a six-year contract at the club and Guardiola will hope that Stones will solve City’s problems at the back.

Stones has expressed his delight at joining City; “It’s an ambitious club with a great manager so I can’t wait to get stuck in,” he said.

“I know it will be tough getting a place in this team but I’m determined to become the best player I can be and help us to success.”
