Gunmen on Monday evening kidnapped an expatriate working for Granebury Construction—the company working on the Lagos State Government’s dualisation of the Epe Township Expansion project in Epe, Lagos State.

According to an online news publication, P.M News, the police had mounted aerial surveillance in the area in a bid to rescue the kidnapped worker—An armoured tank had also been stationed at the project site as police officers combed the area for information on the missing expatriate.

The publication also gathered that a police source confirmed the abduction, adding that the police had commenced investigation into the incident.

However, Lagos State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure Engr. Ganiu Johnson declined to comment on the matter when contacted citing ethical issues.
