The US has witnessed more than 300 gun related incidents in the last one year, continually putting the contentious issue of gun control on the front burner.
President Barack Obama has once again addressed yet another gun related incidence which took place in Orlando, Florida when a gunman attacked a gay club and left at least 50 people dead. It is thought to be the worst gun attack in America as more than 20 people were left injured in the attack.
In his address, Barack Obama said “it’s still early in the investigations but this was an act of terror, an act of hate” -even as investigations continue into the shooter’s motive continues. The shooter has been identified as a 29 year old US citizen, Omar Saddiqui Mateen.
