Mixed Martial Arts Fighter Kimbo Slice Dies Aged 42

Legendary Mixed Martial arts fighter, Kimbo Slice (real name Kevin Ferguson) has passed after he was reportedly rushed to a hospital on Monday night.

Kimbo Slice whose beard was just as famous as he was was scheduled to fight at London’s O2 Arena in July in a rematch against James Thompson at MMA event Bellator 158.

His manager Mike Imber confirmed his passing as he said,  “We lost our brother today,;  he did not however disclose the cause of death.

Bellator MMA president Scott Coker has released a statement expressing sadness at Slice’s unexpected death;

“We are all shocked and saddened by the devastating and untimely loss of Kimbo Slice, a beloved member of the Bellator family,” 

“One of the most popular MMA fighters ever, Kimbo was a charismatic, larger-than-life personality that transcended the sport.”

“Outside of the cage he was a friendly, gentle giant and a devoted family man. His loss leaves us all with extremely heavy hearts, and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Ferguson family and all of Kimbo’s friends, fans, and teammates.”
