On this day in 2011: The Federal Government postponed parliamentary elections until April 4 after voting materials failed to arrive in many areas, a major blow to hopes of a break with a history of chaotic polls. Attackers stormed three villages in central region, killed at least two (2) people and set a number of houses ablaze

Also on this day in 2012: Gunmen shot a secret police officer dead at a barber’s shop in the city of Maiduguri.

Equally on this day in 2007: In Bayelsa State, gunmen kidnapped two Lebanese nationals.
