France congratulates the Nigerian authorities for the arrest of Khalid al- Barnawi, leader of a Boko Haram splinter group Ansaru.
“We welcome this action by Nigerian security and defense forces, with the support of countries in the region, conducting extensive field actions against terrorist groups like Boko Haram and Ansaru,” a statement by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The European powerhouse, therefore, declared support for Nigeria and its neighbours in the fight against terrorism.
