Boko Haram Terrorists Kill 11 In Yobe

Boko HaramGunmen suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists on horseback attacked Zango village, Gulani local government area of Yobe State and shot dead 11 people, vigilantes and residents said.

The incident happened Tuesday night when the attackers set ablaze houses and shot indiscriminately at people trying to escape the burning flames, Daily Trust reports

“The gunmen came on horses around midnight, set ablaze our houses and opened fire on the people trying to escape. They chased people and opened fire on them”, a vigilante, who did not want to be named said, adding that similar attacks took place recently in the neighbouring villages.

“Last two weeks, the militants sacked a cluster of villages around those areas, including Gurum and Dokshi where over 20 people were killed and many injured. The injured are currently receiving treatment at Damaturu Specialist hospital”, he said.
