Fire Guts NNPC Mega Station In Dutse | PHOTO

The Jigawa state Commandant of National Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Malam Muhammad Fari has confirmed the inferno that gutted the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Mega Station in Dutse, the state capital.

A 40,000-liter tanker caught fire while offloading fuel at the fuel station at about 5.30 pm on Tuesday.

Although the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, it did not affect anyone as those on duty ran for safety.

As at press time, the supervisor of the station, Malam Balarabe could not be reached for comments.

However, confirming the incident, Fari said he drafted his men to the scene of the incident.

“Men of the state fire service and Dutse International Airport were on ground to put out the fire,” he noted.
