A lot of PDP politicians are loosing their political seats to court judgement. The most recent of them is Nyesom Wike, now former governor of Rivers state. A Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, on Wednesday, 16th December affirmed the judgment of the Rivers Governorship Election Tribunal, saying Wike, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in this year’s election, was not validly elected. Against this backdrop, INFORMATION NIGERIA has put together a list of five PDP politicians who have had their elections nullified in the last couple of weeks…

1. The Court of Appeal sitting in Enugu Monday nullified the election of Senator Uche Ekwunife representing Anambra Central senatorial zone and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a fresh election within 90 days.

2. A  Court of Appeal sitting in Makurdi, Benue state on November 28th nullified the election of former Senate President David Mark in a ruling delivered by Justice Olabisi Ige.

3. A court of Appeal, Abuja Division last Thursday, voided the elections of Senator George Thompson Sekibo, representing Rivers East Senatorial District.

4. A Court of Appeal sitting in Yola on November 17th, upheld a tribunal’s ruling, sacking Bashir Marafa as senator representing Taraba Central Senatorial District.
