Only Lai Mohammed Can Explain How “Technically Defeated” Boko Haram’s Still Carrying Out Attacks – Fayose

Published

Ayo FayoseGovernor of Ekiti State, Mr Ayodele Fayose, has described the recent Boko Haram attacks in Borno and Adamawa states as disheartening and a slap on the face of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Federal Government, saying that the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed must explain to Nigerians how the same Boko Haram he said had been “technically defeated”, could carry out such daring and deadly attacks.

The governor, who condoled with the government and people of Borno and Adamawa states, especially those who lost their loved ones in the attacks, said; “In other countries of the world, the government would have taken responsibility for deceiving and misleading the people and apologized”.

In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose asked; “If Boko Haram had indeed been technically defeated as Lai Mohammed made Nigerians to believe, what do we call the Sunday and Monday attacks in Maiduguri, Borno State capital and Madagali, Adamawa State?

“Should we say that the ‘technically’ defeated Boko Haram insurgents attacked Borno and Adamawa States, killing close to 100 Nigerians and injuring several others?

“Only Lai Mohammed who told Nigerians that Boko Haram had been technically defeated can tell us what happened and he must have to explain how ‘technically defeated’ insurgents could carry out such deadly attacks”.

He never said that the war against Boko haram has been won instead he said they are technically defeated meaning that they are not like before when PDP was in government.

You people should always keep aside political parties and say what God would say if he would be a man!

If there is any truth in their said technical defeat why such deadly bloodshed and multiple attacks in differents states at different times.

We are talking about human lives my brethren.

What if those killed are your close relatives…you would feel good that the govt claimed is sweet and true?

Insteady of arguing we have to rather tell our leaders, Lai Mohammed and Co to be extra careful when trading words regarding boko haram.

    God bless

Fashola: If We Keep Our Promises, APC Will Retain Power In 2023Babatunde Fashola

Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola has expressed optimism that Nigerians will still vote the All Progressives Congress (APC) back to power in 2023.

Fashola, however, added that the only thing that can make Nigerians not to vote for the APC is if the party fails to fulfill its campaign promises to them.

The Minister made this remark while speaking with journalists on Monday in Abuja.

He noted that even if the promises are not 100% fulfilled but the citizens see signs of commitment and progress, other parties should forget about displacing APC in 2023.

The former Lagos State Governor added that opposition parties are not doing better than the APC, hence should not expect Nigerians to vote for them come 2023.

He said: “Some governors have joined us, from where we think we could not get voters before. To retain power in 2023, certainly if we keep our promises, people will vote for us. It is that simple, that is politics,” the former Lagos governor said.

“If you do what you say you will do, even if you don’t do hundred percent and they see that you are making progress, they will even want you to finish what you started.”
