It is the season of sharing and accepting presents and everyone is expecting a thing or two from their own Santa. Santa can be inform of a rich uncle, aunt, a friend, a lover etc. However there were some Santas in Nigeria, who came into town very early in the year to dish out presents and a lot of you are probably wishing one of them visited your house. Here are the names of some prominent Santa and how much they gave out…

– Sambo Dasuki: The former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki tops the list of Santa in Nigeria. Dasuki came into town generously with N19. 4 billion, disbursing it like no man’s business.

– Bashir Yuguda: The former Minister of State for Finance got a total of N600 million from the chief Santa and disbursed it to some chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to fund the 2015 presidential campaign of former President Goodluck Jonathan. Beneficiaries included Chief Bode George, Ambassador Yerima Abdullahi, Chief Peter Odili, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, Chief Jim Nwobodo and Senator Ahmadu Ali.

– Shuaibu Salisu: Former Director of Finance in the Office of the National Security Adviser, Mr. Shuaibu Salisu, who said $47m was withdrawn from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, and delivered to Dasuki in 11 suit cases at his Asokoro residence in Abuja.

– Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala: Former coordinating minister of the economy and minister of finance is one Santa worthy of mention, as she came into town with N61.4 billion recovered Abacha loot and generously gave it to the office of the NSA, few weeks to the 2015 presidential election.
