A car bomb targeting a policemen’s club in the city of El Arish in Egypt’s Sinai has killed at least five people, sources have said.
At least five people were also wounded in Wednesday’s explosion, according to local media reports.
Sinai Province, the local affiliate of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, claimed responsibility for the attack, which it described as a suicide bombing.
The group has killed hundreds of soldiers and police since the army toppled former President Mohamed Morsi in 2013.
