The Assistant Parish Priest of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Akwanga, Nasarawa State, Rev. Fr. Isael Oruebi, has urged Nigerians to always commit the country’s problems to God.

In his sermon on Sunday, Rev. Fr. Oruebi said the reason why the country is confronted with so many problems today is because people no longer put their faith in God.

According to him, “the unending security challenges going on in the country is because those perpetrating the acts had turned their back to God.

“Perpetrators of evil acts in the country no longer have faith in God, instead, they resort to taking the law into their hands by destroying lives and property.”

The cleric said anyone who had faith in God would not destroy lives or property of his fellow human beings. Even he was offended, he would seek redress through proper means.

Speaking further, Oruebi said: “If you are not bothered by the problems confronting your fellow human beings and you deliberately inflict pains on them, you are morally and spiritually blind”.

However, he preached that “we all must learn to unite, love and help one another for the peace and progress of the country.”
