Woman Files Lawsuit Against 6-Year-Old Girl For Causing Accident

A young girl in Austria, was shocked to be slapped with a lawsuit for causing an accident during skiing, which left a woman with serious injuries. The woman who suffered serious injuries while skiing in Vorarlberg, is asking for 38,000 euros ($42,744) as compensation for the accident caused by the 6-year-old girl.

A child under 14 years old, cannot be held responsible for causing an accident except when the child should have been able to avoid a dangerous situation.

The girl and the woman had been skiing at the same location when the child cut in front of the woman, causing her to fall and suffer serious injuries.

As a result of her injuries, that woman has been unable to ski and she is demanding compensation to cover future damages that may occur as a result of the accident.
