A group, Okun Solidarity Agenda (OSA) has accused former president Goodluck Jonathan of fueling the recent crisis in the Kogi state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

President of the group, Mr. Adedayo Wale, who made the allegation on Wednesday, also said his group had uncovered plans to destroy the second term ambition of Governor Wada by controversial oil magnate, Jide Omokore and Senator Smart Adeyemi.

According to him, the sinister plan is to give automatic ticket to Mr Jibrin Isah (aka Echocho) without proper primary election.

At a recent meeting, Governor Wada was asked to step down for Echocho, a source in the PDP told PSN. Sources say Wada’s sin was that he allegedly worked against the PDP during the last general elections in the country.

Meanwhile, the PDP said in a statement on Thursday that it has postponed the gubernatorial election primaries earlier scheduled for Thursday.

“The postponement was because of some logistic issues pertaining to the exercise,” National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, said.

The NWC reassured members of the party and other critical stakeholders, particularly the gubernatorial aspirants, of a transparent, credible, free and fair primary election.

It said the NWC had approved a new date of Monday, September 14 for the primary election and directs all members to be guided by this.
