Spurs Table £8m Bid for Chelsea’s Victor Moses

Tottenham Hotspur have stepped up their interest in Chelsea FC forward, Victor Moses, as they prepare to lose Andros Townsend this summer.

The White Hart Lane club have tabled an £8m offer for the former Crystal Palace winger, according to several reports in UK tabloids.

Negotiations between both London clubs have not been at its best in the past ten years, but Mauricio Pochettino’s men are understood to be keeping a close eye on activities at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea’s success in their pursuit of Barcelona’s Pedro Rodriguez expected to pave way for possible deal.

The Nigeria international, 24, spent last season on loan at Stoke City, where he became a fan favourite and has also been touted for a return on a permanent basis.

Moses scored four goals in 23 appearances in all competitions for the Potters last season.

England international Townsend is reportedly unsettled at Spurs and wants to improve his chances of participating in Euro 2016 by playing games more frequently.

The Whites have slammed a £15m fee on the winger, who has been linked with Newcastle, Sunderland and Aston Villa.

Moses is currently in Montreal with Jose Mourinho’s squad on a pre-season training, as the Premier a League champions continue in their pursuit of Spaniard Pedro.
