Cameroon international Benoit Assou-Ekpto has signed a one-year contract with French top flight club St. Etienne.
The defender, 31, had been without a club since leaving English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
Asaolu-Ekotto, who arrived at White Hart Lane in 2006, had a season-long loan at fellow London club QPR in the 2013-14 season. He did not feature in any of Spurs’ fixtures in the 2014-15 season.

He has also not played for the Indomitable Lions since the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil.
