Afcon 2013 Hero Sunday Mba Signs for Turkish 2nd-Tier League Team

Nigerian midfielder Sunday Mba has switched to TFF 1 Lig side Yeni Malatyaspor from French outfit CA Bastia, according to the BBC Sport

The 26-year-old scored Nigeria’s match-winning goal in the final of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations about a year after his full international debut.

His prowess at the Cup of Nations in South Africa attracted interest from a several European clubs, before signing for Bastia in January 2014 from Warri Wolves.

He has been capped 21 times by the three-time African champions, scoring five goals. He was omitted from the final squad for the 2014 Fifa World Cup, with coach Stephen Keshi saying he lacked match fitness following his late arrival to training camp due to visa hitches.
