[OPINION] Someday – Is Not A Day Of The Week!

Half of the year 2015 has gone, have resolutions been dumped? Have goals predefined been met? Are you at a place that isn’t the place you envisioned? If you are then I commend your strength (possibly mentor those you know that aren’t as strong as you, also share your tips or secrets with me – so that I can do a follow on write-up)

Someday is not a day of the week
Someday is not a day of the week

Some people Procrastinate and talk about “someday or one day” I’m going to do this or achieve that; but never do a thing towards it. Wiki’s definition of Procrastination is; the practice of carrying out less urgent tasks in preference to more urgent ones, or doing more pleasurable things in place of less pleasurable ones, and thus putting off impending tasks to a later time, sometimes to the “last minute” before a deadline.

Someday can be today, we can make the rest of the year work.  Decisions start today, pick the best and achievable goals that will make you proud. What are you going to stop doing that is getting in the way of you moving forward? I do procrastinate sometimes and keep telling myself I will do things that I never get around to doing. For example, there is a set of professional exams that I don’t necessarily have to take but a year ago I decided that I will “go for it” and paid for a years access to an online course and never got around to even logging on to it.  This I’ve admitted to just to let you know that I preaching to myself as well as others.

What am I doing that is working? What do I need to start doing that will get me motivated?  The truth fits in our ear uniquely well if we plan. Make a plan! If we don’t have a plan days turn into weeks, weeks turn into months and months turn into years…and before we know it we are looking back and saying, “Should have had a plan!”

Commit to the plan and hopefully, within the next 6 months when the new year is pending and a new list is forming….you will have a broad smile on your face!!

Someday – Is not a day of the week! There is no someday, only Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and SUNDAY…..
