Obasanjo Mourns Younger Sister

Former president Olusegun Obasanjo is mourning the death of his younger sister Aduni Oluwasola Eweje-Obasanjo.

According to Daily Trust, the late Madam Eweje-Obasanjo died on Tuesday, May 19 at an Ota private hospital after a brief illness. She was 76.

Speaking on death of his sister while receiving visitors who came to commiserate with him on Sunday, MAY 24, the former president said he would have visited her  if he knew she would be snatched by the cold hands of death.

Some groups who came to commiserate with Obasanjo at his residence in Abeokuta include women leaders from the Southwest and church members of the Christ chapel of the Glorious King, where Obasanjo is a member.

According Titi Odetola, the youngest child of the deceased the burial arrangements will be announced soon.

Olusegun Obasanjo ruled Nigeria between 1999 and 2007. He was rumoured to have done everything possible to stop Atiku Abubakar, his then vice president, from succeeding him.
