Yuguda Sacks Political Aides

ISA-YUGUDAGovernor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State on Monday sacked all but few of his political aides.

Only those on essential services were retained.

The sacking, which was contained in a statement by the Permanent Secretary, Political Affairs, Government House, Hashimu Yakubu, on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government, stated that the sacking of all Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Personal Assistants was with immediate effect.

Although, the number of aides sacked was not disclosed in the statement, Gov. Yuguda is notorious for allegedly having over 2, 000.

The statement read, “The Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Mallam Isa Yuguda, has approved the  disengagement of all Special Advisers (with the exception of the Special Adviser, Due Process).

“Also, all Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants and Personal Assistants (with the exception of those who work directly under His Excellency the Executive Governor or the Deputy Governor)”.

The statement noted that all those affected should hand over government property in their possession (if any) to the heads of organisations where they served.
Yuguda, however, thanked the disengaged political aides for their contributions to the development of Bauchi State in their various capacities and wished them the best in their future endeavours.
