Kogi APC Ready To Dominate State Assembly – Official

houseof_assembly_kogi-300x187The All Progressives Congress in Kogi State has declared its readiness to prove to the world that its success in the March 28 presidential and National Assembly election in the state was not by accident.

A leader of the party in the state, Benjamin Okolo, said the APC’s next target is the 25 State House of Assembly seats in the April 11 election.

The APC won the presidential elections in the state while also winning the three senatorial tickets and seven out of the nine House of Representatives seats in the last elections.

Okolo, who defected from the ruling Peoples Democratic Party to the APC, pointed out that the division in the Kogi PDP was responsible for the party’s failure.

“When I and some other people were leaving the party, they said we were politically irrelevant people in the state”, he said.

“But now, we are the ones responsible for their failure and we have not stopped doing so. The March 28 victory will not be a fluke because we will ensure that the State House of Assembly is occupied by the APC in the next elections.

“The PDP are presently controlling the house but we also will motivate the people to vote for us to ensure that the change they want at the national level is also replicated here in Kogi State”.
