Cole Accepts FA Charge For Derogatory Twitter Comment

West Ham striker, Carlton Cole has accepted a Football Association (FA) charge over a comment he posted on social networking site, Twitter.

The 31-year-old directed a derogatory remark towards a Tottenham Hotspur fan after his side’s 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane on 22 February.

An FA independent commission will now meet to decide his punishment.

Cole was fined £20,000 by the FA in 2011 for a tweet he posted during a friendly match between England and Ghana.

He has made 17 appearances for the Hammers this season and scored three goals.
