As the death toll in Thursday’s bomb explosion that rocked the Bauch Road Motor Park in Jos climbs to 18, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jos, Prof Hayward Mafuyai, has said that no student of the institution died in the incident.

Mafuyai, on Friday while debunking stories that 12 students died in the attack, said, “There is nothing like that, I have been in constant touch with the school security, state security and the Dean of Student Affairs went round yesterday and had opportunity to see dead bodies and the injured. Only one student was injured and the injury is not a fatal one as she will be discharged today.

“I have her name but I will not disclose it, she is a 100 Level medical student”, he added.
