Jonathan Vows To Continue To Protect And Secure The Future Of Nigerian Youths

President Goodluck Jonathan, on Monday, vowed to do everything he can to protect the youth and secure their future, as they were key to his administration.

Jonathan stated this, during his re-election campaign at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe. He noted that his administration had demonstrated its commitment to the Nigerian youth through its various policies and programmes, saying that he would continue to protect and secure their future.

The president, who is the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) standard-bearer in the February 14 presidential election, also promised to provide education for all, as well as meet the basic needs of the youth, if re-elected.

The national chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, while addressing the rally, expressed gratitude to the people of the state for always supporting the PDP. He urged them never to stop, even as they vote for the party’s candidates at all levels, in order to get more dividends of democracy.

Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo also called on the people of the state to vote massively for President Jonathan in the presidential election, declaring that the president had done a lot for the state. He however advised them to avoid any act of violence before, during and after the election, as peace is a driver of development.

  1. Lagos-Ibadan expressway has been there for fifteen years by the former Minister of Works, Baba Tony Anenih and they didn’t do anything .Goodluck is doing that road. That is a Federal government road. He is working on it. Our airport has been reformed. Thirdly our agricultural sector- farmers never got their fertilizer directly but today they get their fertilizer. fertilizer is now a big business. So it is important we say all these things because most people don’t know. We all know that the insecurity is propaganda. Because as a President and leader safety and security is of his primary concern too.

  2. I know what is going on with that guy is a big propaganda and they should leave him alone let him work. why is everybody blaming the poor guy? Is it because he is from Niger Delta or because the presidency has left the north?.

  3. There are so many cynics, the pestle-wielding critics, the unrelenting, self-appointed activists, the idle and idling, twittering, collective children of anger, the distracted crowd of Facebook addicts, the BBM-pinging soap opera gossips of Nigeria, who seem to be in competition among themselves to pull down President Goodluck Jonathan. This army of sponsored and self-appointed anarchists is so diverse; many of them don’t even know why or how they should attack the President.

  4. Hold on. I don’t want to be misunderstood. I am not saying nobody should criticize the Nigerian President. Public position comes with its own share of risks and exposure. But the twittering, pinging, Facebook crowd of the new age must be guided by facts. Can we look at a number of issues?.

You say he is a clueless President. You are wrong. He is not clueless. Nobody is more committed to the Nigerian Project than President Jonathan. In spite of unforeseen challenges, which his administration has had to contend with, President Jonathan is doing his utmost best to positively transform Nigeria. Ordinary Nigerians know and appreciate this. Those parading themselves as leaders of the opposition, who claim that the President has lost the support of Nigerians, represent only themselves and their selfish interests.

  5. But come to think of it, GEJ aside from being president is a true citizen and a man that has the welfare of this country at heart. there is no area of development that he has left unturned. we need more sir, fire down my able president!
