Nigeria international striker, Peter Ebimobowei is set for a 10-day break with a hamstring injury.
The Al-Ahly frontman sustained the injury during his side’s 3-1 league win over El Shorta, after opening his goal-scoring account for the Egyptian club.
Al Ahly medical team has announced that the 21-year-old will need the period of rest for a rehabilitation programme.
Ebimobowei is now doubtful for his side’s Caf Super Cup clash with Champions League winners Entente-Sportif des Setif on February 21, as his return date falls on the day before the showdown.
The much decorated Al Ahly claimed their maiden Caf Confederation Cup title last year.
