The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gen Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, warned Nigeria not to vote the People Democratic Party (PDP) in the February 14 election if they want Nigeria to change.

The former head of state, who said this in Akure, the Ondo State capital, during his rally, told his supporters that the PDP had nothing to offer and therefore needs to be voted out.

“This is the time for change. The APC government will give employment, deal with corruption and invest the money to develop education, build, equip schools and train teachers,” Buhari said.

“We will also look into the problems of the armed forces, train and equip them.”

The presidential candidate therefore appealed to the APC supporters to ensure they collect their PVCs in order for them to be able to vote out the PDP in the coming election.

Also speaking, National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Oyegun expressed delight at the large turnout. He declared Ondo an APC state.

National Leader of the party, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, who also spoke at the rally, said what the APC is out to do is “a common sense revolution”, noting that Nigeria has been in bondage for over 60 years.

“What we have been seeing is transaction not transformation,” he said, accusing the government of failing in all its promises to Nigerians.

  1. Buhari should have dealt with corruption at the PTF, and shown transparency and accountability, as chairman. He should also have equipped the army as head of state. What’s so appalling is the fact that a man of the calibre of prof. Yomi could be deceived by Tinibu to run with Buhari on APC ticket. Anyways, what can Buhari at 72 years offer us without a good educational background. Unfortunately Nigeria is where anything is possible. Fashola said Jonathan and Sambo are too weak for Nigeria. An SAN in these modern times believe we need a DRACONIAN in the person of Buhari as president, wherein our collective freedom of speech, etc, will be taken away. Why is it that we always invite disaster upon ourselves in Nigeria. Here’s a man who is performing yet some want him out in the name of change. When was it we ever had the privilege of having a president who has truly performed like Jonathan, transformation is working in all spheres e.g, the way we think, talk and our psychology about so many things are taking a new turn for the best. To build a country is not only about infrastructures, attitudes is the foremost. We have a president who allows everybody to express him or herself, yet some say he’s weak, sentiments aside. The good thing is, Nigerians are wiser. Gone are the days when politicians deceived other Nigerians while talking from all sides of their mouths in the name of campaigns for elections. God truly answers prayers.
