The rescue, which was recorded on video, featured firefighters using electric power saws, an angle grinder and pliers to split the drum from the washer in half to free the girl in the city of Hohhot.

The toddler was pulled from the tube by her father when the cutting afforded her enough wiggle-room. She was not injured.

The girl, who remained calm during the rescue, had crawled into the washer while playing and was discovered by her mother.
